加國著名商場服務管理公司（Cushman&Wakefield）總監John Crombie認為，名品直銷中心對於大多數人來說就是打折扣的商場，僅僅意味著是便宜的購物處，要一間直銷中心經營成功，業主就不得不考慮引進一些特別的商店品牌，以及合理修建停車場，且銷售價錢要足以吸引人，要比市內購物中心的全價物品便宜很多。

據悉，一些品牌直銷中心也會出現經營商品較購物中心內過時，或者只銷售被限定僅在直銷店經營的物品，個別情況還會出現銷售顧客退回的商品等情況，建議購物者前不要盲目購物。
