【now新聞台】個人資料私隱專員公署進行直銷電話調查，發現幾乎所有受訪者均認為，這是電話滋擾。

公署今年三月委託港大社會科學研究中心訪問五百多人，超過九成人接過直銷電話，有超過八成人認為，直銷電話浪費他們的時間及帶來不便，有超過九成九更指這是滋擾。

公署已去信商務及經濟發展局，促請修訂《非應邀電子訊息條例》，擴大拒收訊息登記冊的涵蓋範圍，將人對人直銷電話納入規管。公署又發現，有私人借貸公司以銀行借貸為名，撥打直銷電話。
